Re: Generate tone
To be honest, I hadn't thought of that Eric! I guess the tones could be programmed onto 'hot keys' and saved as a template to instal with each new show, it's a nice idea! Only big advantage of having the tones on the 'front setup' page of the editor is that it makes it quick and easy to switch to in...

Re: Generate tone
BTW, we used BOTH sub-basses and a 1000w amp for the 'volcano and earthquake' of the stage version of Up-Pompeii, we actually shook a barn-door off one of the stage lights (it WAS on a safety chain!) I consider that a result! :-) I confess that this was at a rehearsal, we backed off the power a bit...

Generate tone
I've been using SCS since a long time back, and it just keeps getting better and better, at our theatre (two stages, two 16 channel SCS computers, nearly three thousand watts (RMS) of amplification and full redundancy on all the kit!) the majority of productions are now run without a mixing desk, or...

Show 'Database'
We are currently 'topping & tailing' a production of 'The 39 Steps' with a rather busy 150+ cues (mostly manual!). It seems a pity to waste all the work when the show closes, I am wondering if it would be worth setting up a database page on this website where users could upload their show profiles a...

Re: supported audio devices
Using two identical computers at the theatre and one at home, all three have the M-Audio 1010LT cards fitted. Excellent card, no problems (but use the latest drivers!)

More on colours...
Don't know if it's possible, but can the 'auto' cues and the 'time based' cues be changed to a different colour? I would like to make the Auto cues dark grey on light gray so that they are less conspicuous on the screen.

Re: Auto Activation on Playlist cues not working SCS10
I wonder if that double hit is caused by key-repeat? A mod/fix I didn't mention in SCS 10.5.0 is that key-repeat is now ignored for commands like 'Go'. This came about through the need to ignore key-repeat for the new 'note' hot key mode, where the hot key cue will play while you hold down the key ...

Re: Audio file countdown (Bug or Feature?)
Hi Mike
Just a thought, any way of codeing it to give the option of the countdown on specific cues, maybe with a checkbox on the cue/subcue page? it is a feature that is not often needed on the majority of cues but is useful when we have to cue the lighting people (for instance)
Cheers

Re: Auto Activation on Playlist cues not working SCS10
I wonder if that double hit is caused by key-repeat? We have occasionally had problems with inexperienced operators holding keys down for too long, so we always set the double click time to 0.8 (General options/General/Double click time) This is also a regular problem on my own system which has a co...

Version numbering (started from 10.4.0)
Hi Mike Any chance of altering the .zip file names in each maintainance release to reflect the version number, such as SCS10_3_2comset.zip? I keep a couple of previouse versions on a memory stick (in case of unexpected 'bugs') and while I DO renumber them in this way it would be much easier if they ...

Re: SCS 10.2.0 Playlist Cue Problem (fixed)
I missed this in the forums, but found the same problem. I never cease to be amazed at the speed with which Mike addresses these minor problems and feeds the information back to users. If he can do it properly, then a lot of other software houses should hang their heads in shame at the overpriced bu...

Re: Master volume fader change?
Sorry, it's a bit of a verbose reply but I felt I must support my arguments! I take the point, well made by Boswell about the dangers of 'bloatware' and SCS becoming too complex for it's own good. I wholeheartedly agree with him, and have made the identical observation myself in the past. How...

Re: Hold Button?
This seems to summarise the requirements quite well. So the request is for a button that will: Hold any fades or level changes at their current levels Hold any countdowns at their current position - this would apply both to subcue relative start times and to cue activation start times Any currently...
