1 Bit Dither Noise on All Outputs - How Many Devices
With reference to http://www.showcuesystems.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1549 which I posted in Feature Requests earlier this year. I have SCS Professional Plus. If I use a 1 bit dither noise WAV file across 8 outputs, and have it constantly running (for the whole show), how many devices will this ...

Re: Feature Request: 1 Bit Dither Noise on All Outputs
That's certainly possible, but over 8 outputs, it would take up several of the available devices per audio cue. I'm not sure if the chip turns itself off on a per-output basis, or if one ouput is open they all are. I'll look into it...
Thanks!

Feature Request: 1 Bit Dither Noise on All Outputs
Hi guys, This is (for me anyway) quite an important request. I use the ADA8000 quite a lot. The chaps who write Software Audio Console managed to get around the problem with the new chips as described below (I've copied and pasted from the SAC release notes). It would be a HUGELY useful feature in S...

Re: IMMEDIATE Cues?
A potential problem has just occured to me - the help states that with internal mixer switched 'off', I can't use ASIO drivers. I have the choice of either a Tascam FW1804 or M-Audio FireWire 1814 on XP Pro SP3. Can I use the 8 ADAT outs with either of these in WDM mode?
Cheers!

Re: supported audio devices
I have used the m-audio 410 and 1814 without problems. These are both firewire devices and the 1814 has the advantage of eight outputs on adat which means that the only connection into the theatre mixer (Yamaha 01V96) is a single fibre. Brilliant !! Dik Thacker Talisman Theatre Kenilworth Dik - can...

Re: IMMEDIATE Cues?
Thank you very much Mike and Eric! I switched off the internal mixer and adjusted the setting recommeded, and that did the trick. I'm using SCS in a similar way to the Forever Everly setup, but am using it for both SFX and backing track playback. Eric - thanks for that info. Yeah, my 'production' ma...

IMMEDIATE Cues?
Hi guys, I've been playing around with the demo of SCS, and have noticed that when an audio cue is triggered, it's not exactly... immediate. I'm on a Core 2 Duo / 2GB laptop, so I don't think it's anything to do with the spec of the machine. What I'm not currently using is the pro sound card I will ...

Re: MIDI Sequences
Hi Mike, Thanks for the reply. Ideally I do actually want to 'play' (transmit) a MIDI file, rather than hand coding MIDI strings! Looking at the audio cue parameters in the demo, I can't see that it lets you open a MIDI file - just WAV, MP3, or WMA. I'm assuming this is just a function (or 'non func...

MIDI Sequences
Hi guys,
Is it possible to use the "custom MIDI string" cue in SCS to transmit a MIDI sequence?
Cheers!
