laptop and USB soundcard
I operate SCS with a laptop and USB soundcard. The soundcard is connected permanently at the theatre. I have found that this means I cannot work on a show at home as once a show is set up with cues for multiple speakers that show can only be accessed when connected to the sound card ( ie there is no...

"Crackle" when using a Laptop
I have changed my USB soundcard to an Maudio pro. This suffered unacceptable background noise. I noticed that this only happened when the laptop was charging - To run a two hour show this is a requirement. I have tried ferrite rings in all possible locations. Moving the transformer as far from the s...

Re: accessing SCS on laptop when USB speakers not available
Problem sorted ! It was self inflicted. The laptops internal speaker driver had been deleted by mistake. So when SCS could not see either the external usb speakers (Not connected) or the internal ones. it could offer me no options but to loop back. Many Thanks for the various suggestions - Peter Hill

Re: accessing SCS on laptop when USB speakers not available
Sorry - problem is not downloading the new data - that has been done - but accessing scs (with usb not conected) so that I can then tell it to load this data.
The three options I am presented with do not give me that option P Hill

Re: M Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R
I find all these posts most interesting BUT as I suspect I am in the same position as many people in small amateur theatres - That is of a pre computer generation (now self upgraded !) brought up on crude reel to reel sound / Then Cassette / Mini Disc etc - but anxious to embrace this fantastic new ...
