Mike- Thanks for the advice. Opened SCS9 by right clicking on the icon, then open as administrator, entered registration details when prompted. This appears to have solved the problems which have occured since my last Windows 10 update (Jan 17). If there are any further recurrences, I will post here...

I am having similar problems which appear to have started after my last Win 10 update. I am still using SCS 9.5.4 which suits me perfectly so I have no plans to upgrade at the moment.
