Re: PCIe sound card?

Have look at these card https://www.thomann.de/be/marian_seraph_8_xlr.htm
Professional 8 in. 8 out on balanced XLR (also available on balanced TRS)
Very stable driver and extreme flexible routing software (with eq and dynamics on every channel like a big mixer) and expandable with other cards.

Re: ArtNet

I use a workaround by using a program called Artnet2midi connected to Loopbe1midi in, and SCS connected via midi to Loopbe1 midi out , it works, but i do not really trust using two more programs in the background. It also has some latency, so i have more program work to get it right for dance perfor...

ArtNet

Any news on implementing ArtNet in SCS ?

I am using a Chamsys pc wing, so no midi output, it would be great if i could receive artnet as a "go" command on my SCS laptop.

Re: garbled sound after disable WiFi

I have a X32 rack (new USB card) and tried to reproduce it to no vain. The combo will stay rock stable even at 256 samples. Could be the drivers of the new usb card is more stable than the older XUF card. Did you tried it yet with an other program (media player, Itunes, a DAW)? Btw, i run it on a HP...

Re: "Crackle" when using a Laptop

Normally a good stereo di with groundlift engaged should take care of this problem

Re: SCS 11, multiple projectors

If you are on a desktop pc have look at the following cards, they have 4 outputs : ATI FireMV 2400 or Nvidia Quadro NVS 420
Only minus, they are expensive

Re: Triggering cues from MS Powerpoint

I did a search on my Win7 machine and on Google, and indeed, no way to set Midi Yoke as default. I think this was a insane decision from Windows, hope they get it back in Windows 8 As for the topic starter, you can also attach your audio files in Powerpoint and let them start automatically when they...

Re: Triggering cues from MS Powerpoint

I have no problem selecting Midi Yoke 1 as default midi out on my XP machine
I did not tested it on a Win7 system yet

Re: Triggering cues from MS Powerpoint

You could experiment with midi files attached to the Powerpoint, and route them with MidiYoke to SCS
I never done it, but it is worth trying.

Re: Redundant systems

If you have a mixing board with enough channels left, you can go from the main pc to one channel and the backup pc to another channel, all you have to do is on-mute the backup channel in case of failure with the main pc
Or make 2 different groups in case you use more than a stereo output on SCS

Focusrite Saffire Liquid 56

Is someone using this soundcard with SCS ?
I can get only 2 channels when using WME drivers, with Asio driver no problem to get 8 outputs.

Al tough it seems stable with internal mixer and Asio, i am a bit afraid to use it that way because WME is advised for stable audio playback.
