OK! I think iv got it now! Sorry I have been wording this very badly, didnt quite know how to ask this.
So the softwear will pickup two mono channels as a stereo pair? and present the two mono channels (stereo pair) in the cue sheet as one channel witch can be paned?

Ah ok, though a stereo output can be one device and you can pan this device. you use a splitter to sned that one stereo chanle to two mono chanles on the board and route acordingly. this way i can send to 8 speakers by useing 4 devices (outputs) am I right? Ah so you cant take two mono channels and combine them into a stereo channel vier the softwear? Well from your preveus coment im gessing no :( so can anyone with the gigaport interface advise me on this? Or can anyone recomend a 4 or 8 stereo channel interface (outputs not inputs) for under £100? or...

Well the device that I will be using is the “ESI gigaport HD” witch has 8 RCA/Phono out puts, can I group two of the outputs to stereo? Or do the outputs have to be stereo?
