Re: Please retain separate edit window
Agreed, I use the split-screen all the time to construct cues during rehearsal runs.

Re: [Fix 11.9.6] Up and down arrows on main window
Hey @Mike - do you mind e-mailing me directly (or posting here) that workaround?
Thank-you!

Re: More granular time entries (start/stop/loop start/loop s
*bump* I originally reported this ask four years ago. Since the times are already stored in MS, does the editor now after all this time allow us to enter the time in MS or is it still in hundredths? I've been real patient and all... As a software engineer, it seems like really low-hanging fruit... P...

Usability Issues
Hey Mike, Thanks for 10.8.x, but there are still several usability issues that make the product extremely difficult (for my use cases). I've made enhancement requests going back over two years, but they just haven't seemed to be addressed. I'll try them this way: 1- Audio File Cue - Zoom - at higher...

Re: More granular time entries (start/stop/loop start/loop s
For now, if I modified the XML document, would it work? That is, if I hack at the persisted file, would the parser read the more granular zero-crossing? I have another project coming up very soon that will be using SCS. I'd like very much to be able to do some click-free looping to simulate vamps an...

I know it's bad form to reply to your own post. I'm wondering if you've had an opportunity to look at this. It's be about a year and a half since I requested it.

Re: Apparent latency observed...
Hi Mike (and all), This turned out to be quite a serious problem for me actually with an even worse side-effect. You see, I did the evaluation of SCS, and initial work setting up the cues on my development laptop (Dell Latitude D830, 4gb ram). I then transferred the files over to another Dell laptop...

Re: Question - Best Practices - SCS at Show Time
* I set up the theater with sound PCs that have nothing installed but SCS and goldwave. They are not on a network and do not have wireless. So definitely: - turn off all network devices - turn off the screensaver - power settings to leave screen and disk on always Thanks - I created a hardware prof...

Bookmarks/Markers in an audio file
It occurred to me that my MD's rehearsal requests could be easily addressed by bookmarks (not cues) - Something like simple bookmarks at arbitrary locations in an audio file. Since they wouldn't need to be cues at all, they could be rendered differently and they wouldn't interfere with or participat...

Re: Question - Best Practices - SCS at Show Time
Sorry - I know it's usually bad form to reply to your own post - but I did discover that "Exclusive Cue" will keep the kids from stepping on themselves while a cue is playing, and SCS behaves predictably for my performance cues with this setting. I don't know how it would behave when I have cues tha...

Question - Best Practices - SCS at Show Time
Hey all, I'm new to SCS, and I'd like to solicit best-practice information on cue-file setup, and operational experiences. Below are some questions that I've asked myself as I went along - questions that I figure people have worked out with SCS in the past have answers to: 1- Manual cue launch key -...

Re: Newbie - Help click-free transition between cues
First Dee, let me thank you for a thoughtful answer to my questions and inquiries! I appreciate any help I can get. I can see where your coming from in regard to regard to multiple queue points in one file and think it would be a good feature to have. There is a problem (correct me if I'm wrong Mike...

[Done] More granular time entries (start/stop/etc)
In an audio file, you go down to at least ten-thousandths - but in SCS, it only supports hundredths. This means that for some loops, it's impossible to get things click-free. The Bass Library supports much more granularity than hundredths. For example, in a loop, 25.27000 is way different than 25.27...

Easily subdivide audio file into multiple cues
Most of my present use-cases for SCS involve subdividing a single song into several cues. The use cases include: a- Be able to create cues based on rehearsal markings. This lets the director keep restarting the music at Measure 52 (or whatever) in rehearsal. b- Share the read buffer between these cu...
