good to hear, erwin.
Let us know how successful you have been on Sunday. I'm sure you will find using MIDI via USB to controll the mic mute and other functions very easy.

Re: SCS controlling Soundcraft UI16 over Network commands
Hello erwin
Yes, that is correct. You can control the XAir 18 using Midi over USB
The xair needs to be configured to receive midi over usb (xair3) then setup "control send" parameters in SCS (xair 1 and 2)

Re: SCS controlling Soundcraft UI16 over Network commands
erwin, you should be able to control the Xair16 using Midi in the same way as the Xair 18, which is curently supported by SCS. Very easy to set up, the Midi commands are sent over USB to the Xair and can control mute/unmute and many functions of the mixer.

Re: Save Live Cue Levels
I have set up a button on my Stream deck and assigned it as Shift+F10. Then anytime I need to "save levels" a quick press of the button does the job.

In the same way as Goldwave, I use Audacity (freeware) to capture and record the audio from YouTube files. You can the edit the start and end points, save the wav and load into SCS.

Re: Controlling X Air X18 mixer
Have you configured the xair midi settings to received midi via USB? The settings are found in the setup tab in the xair software when connected to the mixer.

Re: DAW's
Update: SCS recognises the MIDI data for all of the buttons and encoders (when SCS is setup as MIDI Note ON in the Cue control section). However the MIDI data for the sliders is "pitch bend" which SCS doesn't seem to recognise on the incoming midi stream. It "hears" all CC and Note data but not Pitc...

Re: DAW's
Mike I have an X-Touch, which has MCU (Mackie) output on MIDI as well as other formats. MCU seems to have the best mapping of the faders, rotary encoders and the various buttons. It seems there isn't much in the way of documentation for the MIDI mapping. I could make a note of all the midi output (v...

Re: Send a GO to ETC Console by MIDI
The USB to Midi interface you have is known to have issues with the way it translates the midi commands for MSC. More often than not, the interface doesn't work. I know this from previous experience. I then bought a CME interface which works perfectly and does exactly what you need. It is more expen...

Re: Reconnect device
Have you disabled the "usb selective suspend" setting in control panel? This may fix the problem in the first place.

Please note that The Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) is only available in Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, Education and Windows 10 Pro for Workstations.
For those of us that only have the Home edition, gpedit is not installed.

Mark.
The amendments you have described are spot on and mimic the workflow I use for my shows. If you would like further testing, I'm happy to help. I have MSAccess.
