Thanks to all who replied. I think, with your help, I found the problem. I'm not sure, however, which of the changes solved it. I changed the sleep setting for USB ports to "off" in the device manager. I removed the new Presonus driver & installed version 2.8.4 & been using only the USB port that I ...

Losing USB port connection
Hello all you fellow techies, My SCS has recently developed a new problem. I use SCS for musical theatre. My laptop is optimized with as few as possible operations running in background. I'm running on Windows 7 on an Acer laptop. Also using Presonus Audio Box USB as my interface to the analog world...

Yes, SCS type hibernate as though someone hit the pause key. However, our operator said she didn't touch the key pad.
This only happened once during rehearsal. We've run 4 shows so far without a repeat of the problem.
Who knows what lurks in the hearts & minds of PCs.

SCS ver 10.6.3 hibernates
Has anyone experienced this problem? This happened only once during our rehearsal. But I have to admit, it's a little scary. We are running most of our tracks in our current production in auto-start mode. One time, it hibernated the next "auto-start" track on it's own w/o any action from the operato...
