Re: supported audio devices

I have used the m-audio 410 and 1814 without problems. These are both firewire devices and the 1814 has the advantage of eight outputs on adat which means that the only connection into the theatre mixer (Yamaha 01V96) is a single fibre. Brilliant !!

Re: supported audio devices

I previously used an m-audio firewire 4/10 with 8 audio channels out. Since version 10 of scs I am using an m-audio 18/14 and have 8 channels of audio from the ADAT optical out straight into my Yamaha 01V96 mixer. No wires !! Brilliant !! This also means that the channels 1-16 of the mixer are freed...

HI. I have used the M-Audio 410 and 1814 for a long time with no problems on various pc's including laptop and desktop - but not with a Tosh. As a thought, is the 1814 set up to provide its own sync ie internal ?

Ian,
I have used a multicore for midi (I keep 2 xlr-5 pin din jumpers especially for this) over a distance in excess of 30meters with no problems.

I only have experience of the M-Audio Firewire 410 and also the 1814. Both work very well- although I would like to use the ADAt out on the 1814 to take 8 channels directly into my digital mixer on an optical. The 8 analogue outputs on the 410 are unbalanced though and there are just 4 balanced outp...

ADAT Soundcards/devices

Hi. I have been using SCS for some time now with an M-Audio Firewire 410 - with great success. I use a Yamaha 01V96 digital mixer which has adat input and it seemed a logical next step to use this method to transfer 8 audio channels from PC to mixer without all the "wires". I have bought an M-Audio ...

I use an M-Audio 410. I have used it with 2 different laptops and 3 different desktops with a variety of software, including SCS on my Sony laptop, and have never experienced the problem you mention. The laptops I use have built-in firewire sockets though. I wonder if this is due in some way to the ...

Easy done ... create 2 cues using the same wav file with the second auto-starting 0 secs after the first. The first would be for the curtain music through the house speakers and the second would play the same music for the speaker on stage. The volume onstage could be zero. A 3rd cue would fade out ...

Remote Control

An idea that may help others ... In the theatre where I normally work the control room is behind glass at the rear of the auditorium which is not very useful for hearing how it all sounds in the Auditorium !! I used to have to take the main mixer out into the auditorium and multicore it all back. Te...
