show the end of the file path not the beginning
Feature Request: On our computer the path to our audio files is usually something like C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Nameoftheshow\audiofile.mp3 In the SCS Editor the beginning of the path shows and the end gets cut off due to screen space restraints. Unfortunately the beginning o...

play a random file every XX:XX.XX
Is it possible to play a random file from a list every set number of minutes or seconds? We are doing 12 Angry Men and in lieu of pre-show music the director wants random announcements that you might hear if you were waiting in a jury selection room. Ideally, it would even be nice to make the timing...

Tip for setting up playlist cues (1)
I just noticed that when you click the little button to add a track to a playlist cue, you can actually select multiple tracks by using the Shift or Ctrl key while selecting tracks. You can also use Ctrl+A (select all) to select all the tracks in the folder. Nice!

Re: Can't fade pre-show playlist cue w/ SFR cue
Just FYI, I tried Hot Key Toggle again and it did fade but it also went to the next track after the fade like the Hot Key Trigger did. I changed it to a Go Button cue and it will be fine for this show. I also upgraded us from 10.6.0 to 10.6.1 while I was there.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Can't fade pre-show playlist cue w/ SFR cue
Thanks Mike. BTW I thought I could get around it by setting it to Hot Key Toggle, but when I hit the key again it seemed to be a hard stop even though I had a fade time entered.

Re: Can't fade pre-show playlist cue w/ SFR cue
The weird thing is that we have been using SCS for two or three years now and we always have a pre-show playlist hotkey cue, and this has never happened before. Would checking "Exclusive Cue" help at all w/ the logic that the cue is supposed to fade, complete, and then become unavailable? BTW is the...

Re: Can't fade pre-show playlist cue w/ SFR cue
Thanks I will be there tomorrow and will try again. Might be worth a try to change the order of the tracks if nothing else works.
I was aware of the Permanent Settings but didn't actually check it because we usually leave it set that way. Good point about the focus.

I tried all three. I assume the correct setting is Trigger.

Re: Can't fade pre-show playlist cue w/ SFR cue
Yes it is. I tried to make it a Go Button cue but when I hit the spacebar nothing happened. We typically always use hot keys rather than the Go button.

Can't fade pre-show playlist cue w/ SFR cue (fix in 10.6.2)
Hi Mike, We are using SCS 10.6.0 Build 2009/08/05 14:13 I am trying to set up a typical pre-show playlist cue that can be interrupted by a SFR Fade then Stop cue, but it isn't working. It fades the track that is currently playing but then starts the next track in the list instead of stopping like it...

Re: Auto Activation on Playlist cues not working SCS10
Thanks Ian. It's good to know about being able to set the double-click time. We are an amateur theater club and our operators are volunteers of all ages. Some of them hold the keys down too long and things like that until they get used to it.

Re: Auto Activation on Playlist cues not working SCS10
Thanks. The go button isn't working out quite so well because we had the operator hit something at the wrong time and set off the first go button cue accidentally. Also, he managed to get both of the go button cues to play simultaneously twice in rehearsal. Luckily by showtime he had it figured out....

Re: Auto Activation on Playlist cues not working SCS10
Thanks Mike. That should work for this show. Will this thing about auto-start cues not working after hot key cues be looked into? As you said, it may be because they are MP3 files. I'll try a larger value for "before end" first since hot keys are what our operators are used to, and hot keys make it ...
