Re: Backup SCS computer

Just a comment on John's last post about Windows stability, particularly XP; don't run anything on a production PC which is not required. If you can avoid running Windows Firewall, Antivirus Software and also disable any services which are not required in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Servi...

Re: Backup SCS computer

You also need some way of quickly switching the audio outputs from the main machine to the backup, Relays?? or if you're using external USB soundcard, switching the USB over to the backup machine. Then, what happens if your Midi stop/go trigger fails! What happens if you get a power blip? computer ...

Re: Backup SCS computer

Hi Josh, There are a number of ways of achieving what you want to do. I have experimented with 2 x SCS (1 as a backup) in 2 ways. 1) Use an external MIDI trigger via a MIDI splitter to send 'GO' to 2 SCS machines at the same time. 2) Use 2 PC's linked via MIDI with every cue on machine 1 which requi...

Re: Delta 1010LT

Hi,

I have used both Delta 1010 and 1010LT without problems on SCS9. The 1010's support both ASIO and WDM Windows driver models which work fine with SCS 9. ASIO support is also on the way with V10 of SCS.

Re: PopulateWaveBof

Have you tried running the latest version SCS 9.5.3 ? SCS has had a number of updates / fixes since 9.4.6 which may resolve the problems you are experiencing. I would recommend downloading the latest version from the Members Area http://www.soundcuesystem.com/mem_index.php to see if this resolves th...

Re: OFF TOPIC: VIDEO/presentation software?

Hi, the next major release will support video cues but I believe it is a few months away. As far as I am aware it currently only supports one output but I believe that this is something Mike is looking in to. There is some more discussion on this topic http://www.soundcuesystem.com/forum/viewtopic.p...

Bug? Audio Cues / Production Editor 9.1.4 (Fix in 9.1.5)

Don't think this is a 'feature'. (!) Steps to reproduce : Create 2 audio cues in production editor and then click save . Now click on each of these cues in turn and alter the current position on each of the cues by clicking on the waveform. Now close the editor. Run the first cue (right click). What...

Re: Yamaha M3000 Mixing Console

I haven't had specific experience of this desk but the Yamaha M3000 range (M3000-40C, M3000-24 and M3000A) support MIDI control of the scene memories on the sound desk as far as I am aware. You would therefore be able to set up 'scenes' (mute scenes) and store these into a scene memory on the sound ...
